Not sure how true this is, but I've heard that Proton Mail pretty much knuckles under to any legal requests. Supposedly, the account will be notified of any such request. I've been using ProtonMail for over 2 years now.
Personally, I think Keybase is way undervalued for the privacy it provides.
It just boils down to labor cost. Its hard to compete against the slave labor market in China. Given a choice, I always buy products not made in China for this reason.
Five years ago while in Singapore, I ran into the CEO of a plastic manufacturing company. He said, his company wouldn't be competitive if they didn't use China's slave labor. At that time, $1,200/year was consider upper middle class in China.

Hope this screen shot is familiar to everyone.

Individuals should be able to censor as one sees fit. I don't need someone doing this for me.
When I see prevented content or someone who is constantly being a dork I just mute the user.
Given the current state of nostr, if would be off limits to any young children.
There is a bit of a hurdle when experiencing nostr for the first time. It appears to be less of a hurdle now than 8 months ago.
Any Info as to why they are shutting some of their nodes?
What is the current version? Apple store is reporting v0.7.7 one month a go.
Maybe show the info about the recently released version in the app so we know Apple is just being an ahole.
Looks like this version hasn't made it to the Apple store yet.
Dating myself, but I remember the day when there were only mainframes.
We know you are insane that's why we follow you. π
Cool. I have a similar setup. Zeus (iPhone) linked to desktop Alby extension.
I run my own Lightning node (SANJOSE_UBETCHA) which was implemented with a BTCPayServer (docker) running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Anyway I was considering connecting either BlueWallet or Zeus to my lightning wallet on my lightning node.
After more research there is plugin on BTCPayServer called LndHub API that can be used to connect either Zeus or BlueWallet.
The BlueWallet attempt is failing for me right now. I guessing the port is not open on the OCI vm instance.
Anyway, the whole reason for doing this is to (maybe) make balancing the payment channels less of a headache.
So, my father is retired and have always been into photography (as a hobby).
He now likes to network and post his photos on X.
I would like to introduce him to #nostr in a easy way (he doesnβt really know what Bitcoin is) so he can interact and participate in zapping activities.
What would be the easiest Client/Wallet integration or interaction that he could use on iOS (iPad)?
I was thinking nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq with nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 .
What yβall think?
Likely the biggest learning curve is going to be with the nostr client and getting him setup with that.
I've tried various nostr clients which total turned me off to nostr. Anyway, Primal.net client has been working the best for me.
I went with Alby/Zeus both basic installs no issue.
Installed BlueWallet on my iPhone and I'm considering importing my lightning node wallet.
Anyway I'm having second thoughts about entering my seed phrase on the iPhone.
Thoughts?
Do I need an invite to get this running on my iPhone? Thanks.
Hasn't happened to me yet. Have you experienced this or heard of others who have?
