Money is actually the most important vote and for the first time ever there is more than one candidate.
I choose #bitcoin
Na, that's the natural reaction once you figure out what Bitcoin represents.
The hardest lesson in Bitcoin is realizing that no one wants to wake up.

Fair. And one of my points is that it's not the same democratic party anymore. I don't think the DNC can claim to be "progressive", IMHO the party as a whole has transformed into a regressive and authoritarian party; the party of censorship, war and totalitarian globalist policies that are aimed at funneling money from the bottom to the top.
Unfortunately, support for Israel is largely bipartisan. I think we are transitioning from the war hawks being mostly Republican (leftovers from the early 2000s), to the Democrats being the primary party pushing for war. But AIPAC is everywhere.
Listen to Thomas Massie discuss AIPAC with Tucker to get a window into it.
Bitcoin will not end wars, but when the fiat wheels fall off and war needs to be funded with actual tax payers directly, they will become way more unpopular and more difficult to last forever.
A vote with your money is more powerful than a vote at the ballot box.

I haven't had a beard in probably a decade... Maybe it's time to bring it back ๐
No shave till $100k? ๐

Waiting for confirms is brutal sometimes
Yes, true. Still would be hard for me to recommend to someone new to Bitcoin. Not a great initial Bitcoin experience to get a few thousand sats stuck in an on-chain wallet because fees went up. Or find out that it doesn't work when they go to pay a lightning invoice.
Still optimistic though, it sounded like lightning was on the roadmap from the interviews I listened to and proton is a great source of new bitcoiners ๐
I followed, maybe just a relay discrepancy?
I also like rollerblading btw ๐

So I watched the VP debate last night (almost all of it) and it was so refreshing to hear a candidate (Vance) 1) make a real effort to answer the actual questions, 2) give clear well explained rational for answers, 3) be polite and respectful of moderators and opponent.
Given how shaky a start Waltz got off to on the first question, probably Vance did him a favor being so polite and respectful, it kind of calmed him down a bit and I think and his answers got better later on (didn't agree with most of his answers, but at least I could kind of follow the logic to some extent). But I'm glad he did it anyway.
But after the absolute shit show that was the last two presidential debates, I am glad that Vance (and Waltz to some extent) reset the tone to be much more focused on issues, policies, rationale and clarification of how misleading some of the opposing points were.
I was not really a fan of JD going into the debate, but I have a lot more respect for him now. Waltz would probably be fine with a reasonable candidate, but Harris isn't doing anyone any favors.

I just got access to try out nostr:nprofile1qqsrs20qpc4hlq0ef7s3q0k7swlp79q8ys5eex3hxtmg40fccvr4yhspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eeks6t5vehhycm99ehkuegprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezucm0d9hxvatwvshxzurskuxa67 Wallet ๐งก
As a regular user of Bitcoin though, I am just not sure how an on-chain, mobile, hot wallet fits into my financial life.

If I'm going to use a mobile on-chain wallet I'd go with muun (because lightning interoperability) or nunchuk (with a tapsigner or passphrase). I guess Bitcoin via email is cool, but it's still too early for me to even find an opportunity to use that feature.
P.S., I've got 5 invites if anyone wants to try it out, although I assume you need already have a protonmail account.

So, as it turns out, the real reason that Bitcoin pumps after a halving is because central banks print crazy amounts of money right after every halving.
Definitely related to the halving... Not printing leading up to an election ๐
