I went to #bitcoin because I wished to live deliberately. Host of Bitcoin for Breakfast, #NorthernLightning, #TheBitcoinMeetup.

It’s with a heavy heart that I share that neither I nor Lykke will be attending this year’s conference in Prague.

I’ve been a proud supporter of nostr:nprofile1qqsd0f68dvf98gvs9am9dp0lu0f4r7xzu2k89rm9tt448axf5tu6wlgphpy4c since its inception, honored to be among the first speakers, deliver the opening address in the inaugural year, and champion the event enthusiastically ever since. It’s been a joy to witness the conference grow into such a vibrant gathering.

Last year, my daughter truly shined—adding value to the privacy panel, conducting insightful interviews, volunteering at side events like Rockamoto, and even running her own cookies-for-sats business. Her energy and passion made me very proud.

While I had the privilege of delivering last year’s closing speech, I’ll admit it didn’t go as planned—I stumbled through it and didn’t quite hit the mark 😊

We understand that events evolve, and this year, the organizers have chosen a different direction, as we haven’t been invited to participate. After inquiring about attendance, we were kindly offered a small discount on passes, but we’ve decided to respectfully step back and let others shine.

While we're sad to miss it, we genuinely wish nostr:nprofile1qqsglr2necu08pzw7hdujxm8xnxmxyg5x4dkqsaqm3ey4jj2rpnqwjsy8x02g, nostr:nprofile1qqsy6hu5wz5jdcp8sd5zuzqy9lh70xpfngzpcupgvarddfqckjl9g7gpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejqxfy8hp, and the entire team a fantastic event filled with inspiration and connection. The Prague community always delivers something special, and we’re confident this year will be no exception.

Thank you for the memories, and we hope to reconnect with this incredible community in the future. Wishing everyone a wonderful time in Prague! 🧡

Warm regards,

Erik and Lykke

Sure, but not one day added to the max lifespan. It was ~120 at Jesus' time and it's still 120 today.

It maxes out at 120, same as 2.000, 20.000 and 200.000 years ago. Not one day added yet.

We have yet to expand the maximum human lifespan by even a single day.

Just something to keep in mind before you start planning for immortality.

To those who believe dismantling democracy is the way to protect it, remember:

1. You will meet your destiny on the very road you take to avoid it.

2. It won't matter how many good intentions you paved it with.

Instead of removing the OP_RETURN limit, why don't we remove OP_RETURN altogether?

The Sistine Chapel wasn't built as a canvas for graffiti vandals. "Muh timestamps" was always a bad reason to compromise this.

Why keep it?

Real plebs sorted me out 😁 I'd rather give them my sats that some AirBnB.

Bitcoiners et al, I need help, urgently!

I'm on the highway outside Barcelona with my family (wife, three daughters, dog). We were planning to get a hotel last minute, but it turns out it's all booked out (1100€ for a hostel 😬).

We can sleep on/in anything and will be gone by early morning, but we need a roof over our head. If you have/know anything that can help us out, we can offer some sats and our eternal gratitude. Even if you don't, please share this post to reach more eyes (you can undo it in a few hours) 🙏

It's a Hail Mary, but you've never let me down before, so I'm giving it a shot.

DMs are open, please reach out 🧡

HODLing the right woman will make you richer than Bitcoin ever can.

I am as proud to be European as I am ashamed of our rulers.

Who can relate?

Last night, Queen Elisabeth II and I flew to Ukraine on a sofa and ended up being ambushed by a squad of toddlers. But don't worry, we were both rescued by Anna Kournikova. The 1999 version 🥳

Anyway, today I celebrate 20 days with no weed and 14 days with no tobacco. The dreams are crazy, but thanks to our amazing support group I've muddled through.

Now everything is so much better.

100% worth it 😎

My psychological cravings have been broken. I no longer have any urge to smoke after food, or even at bedtime. I manage physical cravings with CBD gummies and nicotine pouches when needed. Which is less and less every day.

So if you weren't sure about joining us before, here is your 2nd chance. I promise you we are as awkward as you are. You'll fit right in.

Dump that shit and DM me today. Let the world learn what you're really capable of 🙌

I just had the pleasure of testing a brand new JADEPLUS hardware wallet (courtesy of nostr:nprofile1qqsfy229w70e8lgtxavlz9t78k06yrel6fxyhreteafqet8kfxhhwmg2c6av2) and I'm deeply impressed.

The setup was such a breeze that my 11 year old daughter was able to complete it in less than 15 minutes, unassisted. Including 2FA multisig.

We then set up watch-only credentials so my wife and I can track the kids' accounts with ease through the Green wallet app.

Yet I was really struck by the versatility. Power-users will find this device as satisfying as your grandma will. Without any clutter.

The solid buttons, big beautiful screen, and stable connection are also big improvements from my experience with the original JADE.

If I can find a drawback it's that one of the buttons, while solid, was less responsive than the others, causing minor navigation errors.

Bravo to the nostr:nprofile1qqsfy229w70e8lgtxavlz9t78k06yrel6fxyhreteafqet8kfxhhwmg2c6av2 team. 9/10 would recommend.

“This explains why Russian troops have barely moved in February, coming to a near halt in the past two weeks.”

A much simpler explanation is Russia is losing. They've been having severe economic problems, in part due to oil and gas infrastructure getting blown up by Ukraine. Rusisa does not have infinite men or equipment, and they've been clearly struggling. Hell, they're using lots of civilian vehicles due to a shortage of military vehicles. They've even started using horses and donkeys:

Russia hasn't "barely moved" in February. They've barely moved for much longer than that. They can't even get Ukrainians out of Kursk.

That's a much simpler explanation than deal to "carve up" Ukraine. How do you think the US would "get the east"?

And it's obvious that Europe has a seat at the table. They've been providing more weapons and money than the US, and Europe has nukes (France and the UK). Most recently French fighter jets were donated and are already flying missions, and the donated F16s came from the EU, not the US.

Is Russia in on the verge of collapse or about to conquer Europe? I'm getting mixed messages from my feed.

What Putin has done to Ukraine is cynical and cruel and entirely in line with Russian interests.

What Trump is doing to Ukraine is cynical and cruel and entirely in line with American interests.

What the EU wants to do to Ukraine is cynical and cruel and entirely in line with European interests.

"Won't this just give Putin a huge window to delay talks until he has well and truly won the war?"

I think we should assume that Trump and Putin already made a deal on Ukraine: Russia gets the east, the US gets the rest.

This explains why Europe has no seat at the table.

This explains why Russian troops have barely moved in February, coming to a near halt in the past two weeks.

This explains why Trump wants the minerals deal before the peace, guaranteeing US dominance over rump-Ukraine.

And this explains the spectacle at the White House and this act of apparent sabotage:

Trump promised to get Zelensky to the table, or force his replacement.

It's exactly what you think.

Why would anyone do this?

NATO’s a relic, the UN's creaking, the EU’s wobbling—and your country might be next.

History doesn't care about feelings. Feudal lords also babbled about honor as cannons leveled their castles.

The Catholic Church after the Reformation? Reduced to a shadow. Ancien Régime? Headless. Post-WWI empires? Dust piles.

Adapt or vanish. Always been that way. Change eats denial for breakfast.

You can't make this shit up.

Even if you stack 1$ of bitcoin every minute for the rest of your life you'll probably never own one.

The Reformation already proved that experts and institutions can't compete against regular people with access to the source material. But they won't go down without a fight this time either!
