true, it's probably not that trivial, but i wouldn't even bother to attempt it without separating UI from relay behavior

generally return bad/dos results when given a query. notedeck only reads from the local relay so its immune to these kinds of attacks. It doesn’t have to do extra robustness/checking logic when receiving results from random relays.

because it wouldn't be encrypted, we would need to add that before we did that. this would involve implementing blossom and encrypted file uploads

yeah i would take the risk to get users earlier on and accept some possibility of loss. You can always button up once you scale up?

strfry is one of the fastest databases on the planet, the relay is io bound not compute bound
