SOFTWAR philosophy | mutually assured preservation | electro-cyber warfare and zero-trust cooperation

Don't let my opinion taint your impression of the episode.. there are some good things about it too.

When I got to the part where they were LARPing like Rick Dalton was real.. I couldn't take them seriously.. I get what they were trying to do but to me it was just goofy nonsense.

People bid over space in the blockchain. Mempool not clearing is a perfectly fine and normal emergent effect of the free market.

If you have a good understanding of how to check the current price for space on the blockchain and bid for it appropriately, you will have no problem transacting on the base layer.

A stalemate to war would represent a god-kings paradise

If it's true that agrarian society has stalemated itself at a global-scale strategic level with nuclear warheads, then that means agrarian society has never been more vulnerable to the threat of unimpeachable systemic exploitation and abuse than it has ever been in the past 10,000 years of populations suffering from the oppression of their god-kings.

Ask yourself what are the complex emergent social benefits of warfare are that society would lose in a stalemated scenario? 1) zero-trust, permissionless, and egalitarian control over resources. 2) the ability to physically resist, constrain, and decentralize dysfunctional abstract power hierarchies and 3) the existential motivation to innovate and cooperate at higher scales.

If these are valid benefits of warfare, then we can see that a stalemated society would be a trust-based (thus systemically insecure), permission-based, and inegalitarian society where a ruling class has unimpeachable control over a ruled class. A stalemated society would have no capacity to use kinetic power to physically constrain people from adopting a single ruling class to settle all their disputes, manage all their resources, and determine ownership of all their property. A stalemated society would have successfully mitigated the threat of invasion by neighboring abstract power hierarchies, only to make themselves far more exploitable by their own abstract power hierarchy.

These dynamics help us to understand why modern agrarian society may have entered an unprecedentedly hazardous state after the invention of nuclear warfare and policies like mutually assured destruction. All it would take for a tiny percentage of the population to gain completely centralized and unimpeachable control authority over the rest of the global population would be for high-ranking people inside nuclear-armed nations to collude within and between other nuclear-armed nations. Neo oppressors would be able to exploit the world's belief systems without penalty because the rest of the global population would no longer have the practical means to make it impossible to justify the physical cost of exploiting them.

Enter #Bitcoin and its globally decentralized physical power competition. Its physical power projection capacity currently amounting to well over 10gw of physical power. It represents an unprecedented form of non-lethal warfare that can help humanity overcome the kinetic stalemate by giving humanity to ability to grow their physical power competition to theoretically infinite scales and produce clear winners and losers in the process. This would restore the complex emergent social benefits of warfighting while doing so in a largely non-lethal fashion.

I'm proud to say I read Satoshi's whitepaper and have never owned any "crypto" other than BTC.

The Bitcoin protocol is never late, nor is it early. The issuance halves precisely when it means to.
