The thing that excites me most about the future of Nostr is the algorithm market.
Never before have social algorithms been subject to market forces. Either you like Twitter, IG, etc’s algorithm or you have to leave.
Nostr will allow people to pick and choose.
Want content sorted by likes? Sorted by zaps? Filtered through a web of trust? Unfiltered and raw?
You can have any and all of that. And I can’t wait to see the user experiences it produces.
Using Nostr with Paid Relays
This is probably familiar to anyone on here, but send this to friends who are just getting started with Nostr.
Published this yesterday which should help!

Is anyone interested in joining a small, high-signal Nostr group chat on Telegram?
I’m putting one together.
DM me and let me know.
I, too, am suffering from fomo here.
KEEP NOSTR WEIRD! (for now)
Right now, Nostr *should* be niche. There are too many things to figure out, UX hurdles to cross, etc before any attempt should be made to mass onboard users.
I’ve already seen the churn amongst people I know and have recommended it to.
For now, Nostr is for builders and early adopters. But eventually…
Is Zion doing anything that can't be done better with Nostr?
My biggest UX issue with Nostr right now is that I’ll follow someone, and then later on I’ll see I’m no longer following them.
I’ve upgraded all my relays, and it happens even when I’m on the same clients.
Any ideas #[0] #[1] ?
The grassroots movement around Nostr is like nothing I’ve ever seen.
The sheer amount of brilliant people working for free, contributing ideas and code to make this protocol better. I’m in awe.
https://relay.exchange/ is an amazing resource.
next step would be adding info about performance or unique features of these relays.
what do you think #[0] ?
Just found
Will be using this.

What are the most performant paid relays?
I’ll happily pay up.
