Signed back into FB account that was deactivated over a decade a ago, for the sole purpose of permanently deleting.
All I can say dang, that time capsule back into the past was hella weird. Hardly recognized the person I appeared to be, so much has changed for the better since I stopped using that site.
In less than 30 days my history on all Meta platforms will be wiped from public domain (hopefully the private domain as well). I’ll be free of the fake personas put forth on those platforms, and the grasp they previously had on my attention.

Certainly fascinating to watch the client wars play out. With how fast things have been moving over the past 6-7 months, who knows what we’ll be using in 6 months, let along a year from now. Truly amazing to see it all unfold in real time.
#Nostr clients unite around the protocol, and race to build for their users. The client war narrative may be fun to spin and useful for driving development, but the dynamic it is quite different from what is occurring in the centralized social media space.
The former is for the benefit of all the people using the protocol and it’s advancement, while the latter is first and foremost for the corporate interests.
Below embodies the spirit of #nostr to me. Open network with participants working towards a common good.

Agreed. Each has something the other doesn’t at this time, with different but also slightly similar UI/UX. Using both is complimentary for sure, but Damus still wears the 👑 in my mind (at least for now) 😆

Stayed on zap compatible build for a few weeks, but decided to run latest version a few days after finding out about Zapple Pay. Having trouble getting that working, but don’t think I’ll go back to previous build now.

Interesting graph, but what makes you think it will surpass Twitter? Not disagreeing necessarily, just curious on your reasoning.
If it does I think the reason will be because it is inherently tied to and feeding off the Instagram user base, which is substantial. But how many Instagram users want a another app that’s basically Instagram without pictures?
Admittedly it is also feeding of the Twitter refugees, but if Elon manages to get things sorted out in the coming months, why wouldn’t people just go back there to their established follower bases and familiar experience.
Admittedly it’s off to a strong start, but it’s still smaller more than an order of magnitude away from even touching Reddit.
By the way any one who reads this, don’t go sign up for this data harvesting app that is Threads. Meta must shrink over the coming decade, not continue to grow.
