While being bullish about #bitcoin, we should not forget to remain #wise_and_open about everything, even about alternatives to bitcoin. In theory of course. But the moment you stop doubting yourself, is the moment you become absolutist and actually stop being wise.
Bitcoin is not cool for the sake of bitcoin. It is cool because it protects from abuse by scammers and to some extent from violent thieves, such as governments and smartass banksters.
I say it protects from violence only to some extent because although the only way to steal well protected Bitcoin is torture, the problem is you cannot eat bitcoin. It still has to be exchanged into goods that have to be produced. Therefore, if there is a king or a supreme leader that has sufficient soldiers to own all physical goods of the country by force, bitcoin is helpless.
Therefore, I say, if there exists anywhere a government that over the ages has proven to be capable to protect its citizens from the outside while also not scamming, not abusing, and not limiting individual freedom, then it is better than bitcoin. Because it not only does what bitcoin does, but also protects from an external non-bitcoin mentality aggressor. We cannot say that there are no such aggressors, because that is what greeks thought until latins turned into romans (and endless other examples in history).
If any government over the last say 500 years managed to not cause 40 or 40+ weekly work hours as the minimum to stay afloat, while preserving availability of healthy food and entertainment to anyone willing to move a finger, and also while mostly keeping its territorial integrity and not enslaving the external wold, then that is an awesome π government that I would trust more than bitcoin, and would not risk diminishing its powers in any way. Not even by taking away their money printer if they ever used such. It is critical though that this must have been proven over the past 500 years, not 100 years, and not just promised for the future.
My government π is nowhere near this awesome one, so I am already living on bitcoin standard, but will not stop looking for the awesome π government until I have seen the entire world. And even then I will find myself another doubt π§ to chase.
#Thailand is my first next stop.
Important note:
Just like with money, so with religions, any centralized aspects, especially with alive leaders, is a scam. Whatever is centralized, was created and is maintained by governments or bankers in order to fool you in some way, that always adds up to the overall goal of enslavement.
There can be books (bible, koran, pali canon), and you can pay somebody to print them. That is fine. The same way there can be teachers, and you can buy "lessons" or ceremonies from them. That is also fine. But when a teacher starts claiming that without him you are not properly religious, or receives donations from governments or other wealthy individuals and entities, that is not fine. That one is definitelly a scammer. To mention some examples of scammers: pope, various patriarchs, various muslim supreme leaders, some buddhist chief monks, as well as any monks and priests and imams that support the idea that you are not properly religious if you do not attend their churches, mosques, and temples. You can, but you do not have to.
Especially any ceremonies that target children to be included/excluded in the religious communities. E.g. baptising children or children monks. That is not OK. You can teach them in schools religious truths, but only grown ups can be included in religious communities, or else the community is a scam.
I am saying this while I am religious myself, and am very much in favor of everyone being religious. But only in a voluntary decentralized way, conciously choosing the right religion for you regardless of local and family traditions. As necessarily sticking to family traditions would be like sticking to USD because all your grandpas used it, or feeling obliged to stay in Canada because that is where you were born.
Is this true? I mean not the title, but the different claims in the video.

Have you ever been in a situation like:
I only can exercise at X hour today, but I failed to eat in time, if I eat now, my stomack will not be empty at hour X, if I don't eat I will be too weak at hour X, I am skipping exercise today.
Try this and see what happens: don't eat, drink lots of water, and 20 mins before exercise take 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil.
You can adjust number of spoons slightly dependent on your muscle weight and calories needed for your exercise.
Thinking aloud: will the dirtiest jobs (cleaning toilets, working in stinky dirty factories) be the best paid jobs in the first world in bitcoin standard unless the kings retain some sort of slavery by force?
My arguments:
- in the first world life is comfortable, no real need to invent anything new nor optimize
- while being smart and creative is rare, creativity and wisdom still is a byproduct. Once you have them, you cannot hold them to yourself, you will use them even if nobody pays for them
- nobody will naturally willingly do dirty jobs, unless forced or well compensated
- in bitcoin standard nobody pays the office "workers" for pushing papers, digits, money, debt, and useless regulations around.
π€ OK. But then easterners will have to start manufacturing things, cut importing everything from Asia and the 3rd world, and stop "working" useless office jobs, including releasing endless software updates that nobody needs.
π So "aliens will invade New York", ex USSR with ex Warsaw Pact will be the new center of everything western progress, and bitcoiners were not planned, so they will just chill and watch the movie with πΏ?
I have to give every person at least one chance or else I feel like I did not offer a hand when I saw them falling. So pretty much to whatever nonsense the newly met normie tells me (prices, war, family, work, elections) I respond with "well that is because of inflation". If he was interested to dig deeper and try to understand my angle, I would sincerely try to get him on the right path, but sadly, out of hundreds of such cases, there was none.
When you mention an old prophecy, you have to share where you read it. I have never heard of anything like that.
I was just starting to get all excited about this, but then found that US presidents always attend inaugurations in El Salvador.
With understanding of bitcoin now it would make sense. But otherwise - a weird choice of priorities. Do they also always attend inaugurations in at least India, China, Russia, EU, UK, the biggest partners in different areas?
I am glad you are an optimist, hopefully based on experience. I remain open to adjusting my unspecified but less optimistic ratios, too, as soon as the real life, the one I can touch and smell, convinces me.
Bitcoin is indeed unprecedented, so hopefully it brings the unprecedented positive change in the society.
Until covid, based on the people I knew who lived through the wars who happened to be all women and who were literally scared of god and devil, I thought people were just dumber in all regards then.
Covid demonstrated that no. Only the tools and processes that people use in everyday life and work have become so fool proof, that everyone seemed organized and much more rational. But presented with a threat that they were not tained for, they convert back to a scared bull that is irrationally attacking everyone around. Fortunatelly now they are not trained on any arms other than complaining and reporting. Else there would have been shooting maskless people in the streets.
So far I was unable to find any proof that this stupidity is not determined by birth. I mean, you can train a dog to behave a certain way under your supervision, but left alone it will revert back to being a wolf in a matter of days if not hours, regardless of millenniums of training and not seeing the nature.
Until proven otherwise, I am sticking to a theory that there are two genes floating around (how in the hell did they mix up in the first place?): herd people (stupid, dependent and scared (abundant and in childhood rarely misguided by the solitary type)) and solitary people (rational and calm (rare and in childhood often misguided by the herd type)).
π when I am a libertarian, I basically own the term. So nobody gets to re-interpret it.
Dear Libertarians, please listen to the people who know what they are talking:
About pagan India before the English:
"cursed from one end to the other by the vice, the ignorance, the oppression, the despotism, the barbarous and cruel customs that have been the growth of ages under every description of Asiatic misrule."
James Mill, History of British India, 1818.
Don't be pagan. Nor an atheist. Orwell and internet are full of good quotes about atheists.
Unless FBI is already chasing you, you can also wait for mass adoption. Then give your seed to a friend, who will give you his seed. Then exchange that seed with another friend. That will save you sats, time, and energy, and the worry of giving your name and bank account details to a stranger.
This is sick. Even when the state takes it upon themselves to provide 'humane' deaths, they still torture people in the worst possible ways.
Canada's euthanasia program (MAID) and the US chemical execution drug paralyzes you, then goes about slowly drowning you to death while you're unable to scream. 'Like being clamped down and water boarded until you die.'
You're better off doing it yourself.

Honestly, what is there to invent about painless death? Either for death penalty or euthanasia. Just shoot the man in the head when he is naturally sleeping and does not know it is this night. Wtf?
N.b. I am against death penalties alltogether. And will I ever want to be shot? For the record - no. In case I change my mind I will announce upfront π.
