One day I’m going to sign a #Bitcoin transaction with my nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl and then broadcast it to my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll node using #meshtastic

It’s all possible now, but today isn’t the day.

The supply is actually infinite. New coins will always be created forever into the future. That’s Infinite. I understand it’s a tapered tail end whatnot, but the calculus still equals infinity.

From 2017 to now, Monero has made negligible gains or losses, and perhaps does hold up to the claim of storing value if measured in USD, but that’s like measuring with a ruler that keeps changing in scale.

We choose to measure our wealth with a ruler that stays the same, forever. We choose #Bitcoin and it’s true limited supply.

Oh, the stands. Sorry I misread.

What makes them so limited?

I looked it up, early version of nostr protocol December 2020. The "great Twitter migration" to Nostr late 2022 and early 2023. Right around the Musk takeover.

I remember last year when US lawmakers were trying to ban TikTok while labeling it as "Chinese Spyware" that is trying to influence our citizens. Now, Kamala Harris has created an account to do exactly that.

How does a stoic deal with someone who is emotional and doesn't like Stoicism?

A Stoic would approach dealing with an emotional person who dislikes Stoicism in the following ways:

1. Practice empathy and understanding. A Stoic would recognize that emotions are natural human reactions, even if they aim to manage their own emotions through reason. They would try to understand the other person's perspective without judgment.

2. Focus on what can be controlled. The Stoic would accept that they cannot control the other person's emotions or views on Stoicism. Instead, they would focus on controlling their own reactions and behavior.

3. Remain calm and composed. Rather than getting defensive or argumentative about Stoicism, a Stoic would strive to maintain their equanimity and respond rationally.

4. Offer comfort appropriately. If the person is emotionally distressed, a Stoic would first aim to comfort them through empathy and support, not by pushing Stoic philosophy.

5. Avoid preaching or debating. A Stoic would recognize that trying to convince an emotional person of Stoic principles is likely counterproductive. They would refrain from philosophical debates in the heat of emotion.

6. Lead by example. Instead of trying to convert the person to Stoicism, a Stoic would simply aim to embody Stoic virtues like wisdom, justice, courage and self-control in their interactions.

7. Maintain respectful distance if needed. If the person is hostile, a Stoic might choose to keep a respectful distance while still treating them with courtesy, as Marcus Aurelius advised.

8. Reframe the situation constructively. A Stoic would try to view the interaction as an opportunity to practice virtue and self-improvement, rather than as a personal affront.

The key is that a Stoic would focus on responding virtuously themselves, rather than trying to change the other person's emotions or views. They would aim to remain calm, understanding and respectful, while not compromising their own principles.

TLDR: Stay Humble, Stack Sats
