If I meet one at a conference or meetup they don't even need to say anything about it. I can tell they're still in the casino.

I'm beginning to get that same sense for people who still use Twitter and Instagram.

Testing #olas for a few days, and as a photography enthusiast, I’m really enjoying it. It feels like what Instagram was in its early days—a platform dedicated to showcasing photographers’ work—but with the added benefit of zaps.

Talented photographers will love it. No more need to build expensive websites just to sell prints, grind out vlogs on YouTube, or keep reselling the same courses. Now, they can monetize and promote their work directly, without intermediaries. It’s hard to put into words how excited I am about this.

That said, there’s still a lot of work to be done to refine the app and make it more mainstream-friendly. The disappearing likes, comments, and zaps are the first things that stand out. While I personally don’t mind not seeing a follower count, I know many photographers will. I also noticed that some vertical shots lose quality, while landscape-oriented ones don’t.

Overall, it has huge potential, and I can’t wait to see how it evolves.
