A great book that deals with a society that has gone awry and how it deals with unconventional beliefs like you've described is The Giver. This book blew my mind and helped me deal with and understand the cultural insanity that was covid. I found it very insighful and therapeutic for living in an unhealthy society that shuns wrong think.

Great insights. The herd has been conditioned to fear and distrust those who would tip over the apple cart of conventional wisdom. When unconventional thoughts are shared, I've found that the masses love to throw out the conspiracy theorist label, regardless of the facts or logic supporting the belief. IOW, the herd is easily frightened... and herded.

He's bright, well-spoken, advocates for peace, advocates for freedom, fights state oppression, espouses Austrian economics, helped promote bitcoin early, etc. It makes me want to read his book just to get insight.
