Do you make up your own mind about what you just read? Then check the comment section to see what others think?
Or do you check the comment section to see what others think before making up your mind?
Be honest with yourself.

I update the model first, in order to form my own opinion, then read management’s spin. I think this order is essential for critical thinking.
Make up mind. Dont read comments. Get back to stacking. 🫡
I disregard everything that conflicts with my thoughts lol
The former
I don't check the comment section generally.. cause I usually got pissed off, and wanted to reply to the one I considered bs.. waste of time.
I read comments to see what other people think. Sometimes what other people think is retarded, but other times it's pretty good.
DEPENDS ON WHAT I JUST READ…I AM KIND OF SLOW IN THE UPTAKE SOMETIMES AND LIKE TO GET A BROADER VARIETY OF INPUTS - THE HARDEST PART IS GETTING THROUGH ALL THE CHAFF AND FINDING THE VALUABLE CHATTER.
SOMETIMES THOUGH YOU GOTTA JUST LET SPEW THAT MOUTH VOMIT
GM :)
I only read top level first. comments later after a reply.
You’d want to have some time on your hands to read the comments first! Although I gather you also mean it metaphorically to any relevant situation.
Disagreeable enough to say the former on subjects/domains I have experience in.
Open enough to say the latter on new ideas or concepts I'm unfamiliar with.
I generally don't look at comments unless someone posts something I disagree with.
Then I'll look to see if anyone has posted a good response or if I feel the need to.
I think we are all guilty of the later at some point if we’re being honest. It’s easier and faster to click into the comment section than it is to form a well thought out opinion. “Don’t make me think.”
Latter*
I use to be the later
Now the former
If I fully understand what has been said then the former. Sometimes though I need to read the comments to get the context that explains what the original thing I read meant.
It happened before that I totally misunderstood a note and only realised my mistake by reading comments.
No wonder you have me muted while you ask dipshit nonsense questions like this. What the fuck are you trying to ask? Do you think you do one of these things and not the other?
I love the comment sections. I just wish they were sorted by likes or zaps to quickly sort the signal from the noise.
I always form an opinion prior to entering the comments but happy to entertain opposing views.
Rarely check comments, I think everyone is talking to me...
As far as reading books I pretty much only do that off of recommendations from people that I respect and trust.
I always do what I'm doing now. I write down what I think about the note and post it . Then I find something interesting in the comments.
For me, reading comprehension isn't a strange, so sometimes it's more column A, and sometimes it's more column B 😁
Also, given that I rightfully don't have much of an opinion on literally every topic, sometimes comments give more perspective.
Make up my own mind.
Sometimes look at the comments but the tech algorithms are so corrupt don't pay much attention tbh
I'm not sure. Probably both because I'm human
