Interesting! I cleaned up the relays I used on #Nostr. And I almost immediately noticed a loss of accessible notes on my favorite account #[0]. I browsed the list of relays #[1] follows and compared with data from https://nostr.watch/, and decided to subscribe to, wss://nostr.lu.ke, a relay operated by #[2]. And I could again see all notes published by #[3].
PS. #[4], also check out the relay #[5]; wss://relayable.org.

Thanks for lovely comment, Alexander! And thanks also for letting us know about the relay. We’ve added that one to our list. Have a great day! 🍿🎬🧡
So glad you enjoyed it! 🍿🎬🧡

🍿It’s Friday! 🥳
Starting today, rather than showing our usual Friday Shorts 🩳, we will be showing a short season of documentaries! 🎬🧡🍿
To kick us off here is the fantastic Grey Gardens from 1975, directed by Albert and David Maysles.
Watch it here 🎟 :

Have a great weekend!

Also I wonder if nostr:npub13azv2cf3kd3xdzcwqxlgcudjg7r9nzak37usnn7h374lkpvd6rcq4k8m54 's nostwitch can be used for screenings, should there ever be a large enough audience (in the same timezones lol) on nostr for a watch along. 🤔
We tried doing a watch-along early on but found it difficult with the different times zones. Would be great if could get it to work though.
Thanks for all your support! 🧡🫂🍿

Hi everyone!
This week’s film is An Autumn Afternoon (1962) by Yasujirô Ozu!
This is Ozu’s final film complete a year before his untimely death on his 60th birthday in 1963. The film is poetic meditation on the loneliness of ageing; sad, beautiful, and funny in parts, it’s classic Ozu and one of his best.
Enjoy! 🍿📽🎬

Great! I re-watched it earlier this week; it’s such a good film! The documentary is a bit odd, very’80s (Palin pretends he’s on the telephone the whole time), but interesting nonetheless. Have fun!🍿
🍿HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! 🍿
It’s time for Friday shorts! 🩳🥳🧡
This week’s short is Palindrome (1969, 16mm, color, silent, 🕓 22 min) by the great Hollis Frampton.
🍿Watch it here 🎟:
https://www.ubuweb.com/media/video/Frampton_Hollis_Palindrome_1969.mp4
While working at a photo lab, Frampton found that the waste at both ends of the rolls of processed film produced images far too interesting to be discarded. For Palindrome, Frampton selected images which he described as "tending towards the biomorphic," resembling abstract surrealist painting. However, the rigid palindromic structure that Frampton imposes on the images-a motorized sequence based on "twelve variations on each of forty congruent phrases"-deviates from the subjective aesthetic of the expressive, demonstrating Frampton's interest in the "generative power" of films composed by rules and principles.
