Ahhh Orange Pill App, of course! 🤪 Yeah might be good to relay, let me know if you want me to chat directly with anyone at OPA directly too.

I once had ice cream with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala before she was head of WTO and brought up that water should have a voice too at the WTO. Since taking the helm she has been amazingly advocating for water by bringing water advocacy organizations to the table though her platform of influence. From the actions she’s been taking last few years, she deeply understands the economics of water as a common good.

I agree, this issue becomes infinitely more complex as cloud seeding programs by China, Saudi and UAE ramp up in the next few decades.

Who’s OPA?

The Legislative Aid determines what gets on their representatives desk and often presents the key points n talking points and the position to take. They are slammed with information overload so making it easy to have a framework to present to legislative aids and representatives is very important.

From other experiences, books n letters sent to general mail of representatives never get past mailroom or secretary and are totally ignored in big tsunami pile of mail. A book mailed may never get past mailroom filtering systems and may never make it to representatives office at all.

It would be wise to consider sending the Legislative Aid a copy of the book with a 1-2 summary with key talking points. The legislative aids are incredibly powerful in determining the positioning on everything.

From my experience lobbying with Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce against the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act quite a few years ago, I was shocked to realize just how much soft power the legislative aids yielded in the corridors of power.

Super cool! You might enjoy this too… This is a great lecture by Nadia Eghbal discussing the history of open source software and her new book Working in Public -The Making and Maintenance of our Open Source Infrastructure which includes a great meta analysis of GitHub. Her framework may inspire your thought process about what we can build on Nostr.

This is amazing!! May the orange pill force be with you all! 🧡✨⚡️

Perhaps Nostrica could create a document with foundational architecture to stimulate self-organizing unconferences that would have resources and frameworks for self-organizing unconferences globally?

I would imagine it is important to prioritize how people organize both virtually and in person to have decentralization at the core.

A partial model to look at is Harley’s ‘Harley Owners Group’s’ guideline is just a document to do as you please and iterate upon as your local group sees fit. This way each self organizing group that wants to frictionlessly and quickly mobilize an unconference doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel.
