In my younger years, I stood on the assembly line at Daimler in Wörth, once the largest truck factory in the world. In Baden-Württemberg and throughout Germany, countless jobs are intertwined with this vital industry. What is unfolding in Germany right now is nothing short of terrifying, and it should send shivers down the spine of every assembly line worker.

The challenges are partly self-inflicted, but they are also the grim outcome of disastrous economic policies from both the government and the EU. My heart goes out to all the families navigating these turbulent times; I am fervently hoping for their resilience and strength!
