Gold is still sexy offline money. As someone who kind of understands #bitcoin, I understand that carrying 1 kilo bars is very inconvenient in these days. But coins and small bars can do the job just fine. You can even add some Vrenelis and Sovereigns to pocket change. 23,47 Euro in 5 cents, 50cents and 1 Euro coins can easily turn into thousands of euros by adding 5 or 6 Sovereigns that look similar to a 5 cent coin. The stressed customs officer won’t notice.

Interesting for sure. Switzerland not on the list? 😳 The issue here: in 10 years it won’t matter. With super AI even these institutions might become obsolete. I hope though that machines want to get paid.

Ich unterhalte mich noch mit Personen im Bereich Immo, VC, Pharma, Maschinenbau und Banking in der Schweiz. Manche sind der Meinung, dass in der Pharma Industrie noch der Stutz rollt, ich bin der Meinung, dass die kleine Schweiz leider selbst massive Wohlstandsverluste meistern muss. Als ausgesteuerter Banker habe ich das Thema Automatisierung denke ich gut verinnerlicht. Banking ist als Wertschöpfungs-Sektor extrem unattraktiv geworden. Vermoegensverwaltung ist fuer globale HNWI lange nicht mehr unabhaengig, unpolitisch und sicher. Personalkosten in Banken und Finanzdienstleistung sind zudem viel zu hoch in der Schweiz. Die Zukunkft ist opaque. Was machen?
