#Pianos, #Bitcoin only, traveling through space and time on a sound wave

You’ll never be able to ground yourself again

You can never take your shoes off once you put them on and you're already wearing shoes

It’s that season again. Be careful out there. I have heard multiple stories of cars with accordions in them being broken into and end up with additional accordions being left in them.

Welp, I’ve got spring fever. Anyone else?

I won “Most Musical” in high school. How do I display that badge?

volts x amps = watts

Good to know for using #bitcoin mining rigs

Watts x 3.41 = BTU

Good to know when using a mining rig for a heater

I have found my S9 (1,420W = 4,842BTU) raises the room temp by about 10°F within a couple hours depending on room size.

I have been having great success with my Umbrel on a generic windows mini pc for $220 from Walmart. Here is what I did:

-Kamrui mini pc with 512Gb internal Ssd and 16Gb RAM

-Samsung 2Tb internal Ssd

I set it up with windows as normal.

Then I downloaded virtualbox from virtualbox.org directly to the 2Tb Ssd. From there I was able to use an Ubuntu disk image to set up a virtual machine using virtual box on the 2Tb Ssd. I used the full disk space and 10 Gb of RAM.

From there I had to shut down the virtual machine (VM) briefly to change my network connection to “bridge adapter”. I turned the VM back on and I set up Ubuntu from the prompts. I went to download Umbrel, but my sudo command did not work because for some odd reason it had made my user account non-administrative. I was able to change that by going to users and making it an administrator. Then I could successfully download Umbrel using the curl command from their website, which took a few minutes.

Once Umbrel was ready, I took a separate laptop and put in the IP address given to me. I downloaded the bitcoin app and electors app and it started syncing. It took a total of 48 hours to sync the entire chain. It has been running smoothly for days and it works fast without any problems.

I highly recommend this for anyone who is hesitant with computers and knows nothing about coding. I am one of those people and spent close to 24 hours just trying to figure this out. I hope it works for you if you feel like trying it.

I’m curious, though, if the Umbrel disk image would work in this case instead of using Ubuntu on the VM. I have not tried. If you do, please let me know.

This from a Kawai RX1. These parts are made from ABS plastic. They are the cheaper alternative parts to those made from carbon fiber used in new Mason & Hamlin pianos and Wessel, Nickel, and Gross actions. They are very durable and will not be effected by humidity, but they are a bit heavy. If you have played a Kawai, you may have noticed a heaviness to the action if it has these kinds of parts.
