Wordpress then posts the URL to NOSTR as a clearnet notification.

I've finally settled on a writing solution that is free, safe, uncensorable and self-hosted.

People scared of Meta federating with the fediverse are interesting to read.

Thing is, how big is the Fediverse ACTUALLY? Even Nostr has, what, about 8k active users? Thats not a whole lot, let's be real. o.o And not all of those are even real users either.

Big Meta ain't gonna care too much about cute little Fediverse. Yes, they might federate; but once they have what they want, they just fuck off. xD

Always assuming the worst with big tech is normal - and recommended. But don't think Meta will spend more time with this "thing" more than they have to.

Ya, they are, but with SSL you don't risk any kind of mitm shenanigans..

I spent some time verifying that nostr apps do check sigs. All the ones I checked except for damus check sigs.. it's a good thing to verify this in your clients, easy for devs to skip it to make a faster feeling app.
