Good morning everyone.

"The stories at #xoxofest of the experience of living through online harrassment feel very close to the experience of living through the destructive effects of climate change.

It's strange to reconcile that with the fact that it's us ourselves, not online trolls and malicious bad actors, who have been and are responsible for the hostility."

Good morning everyone.

These #sunflower are starting to droop their heads as summer draws to an end here in #france

Not sure if this is what you mean , I run https://www.ttrss.info , it's a hosted RSS aggregator , if you want to try it then just ask , I accept payment in lightning.

Wow , zapping in #nostrudel on my desktop browser via #NWC from #minibits on my phone.

Got an instance of https://chevereto.com/ gallery setup in a #ProxMox #LXC this morning.

Paid for the licence in fiat. 🤮

Now I can host my own images , on a #Tor #hiddenservice

Thanks for the suggestion nostr:nprofile1qqsv0t9t78ldyqd9xxz7fhz7p346u279mvvaww4lsszntuc9mrc9rqqpr3mhxue69uhhwctndd6hyetvv9ujucm0d5hkxmmwdejkxaqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshsgvu69t

Good morning everyone.

Found this large bug on my walk this morning.

It's dead and being eaten by tiny ants.

I put it on my one litre water bottle for scale.

I get logged-out of my nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm #albyhub continuously , which shuts down the node too.

WTF.

Eight blocks of high on-chain fees so #Megalith LSP closes a #lightning channel on my nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm #albyhub.

Closure reason:

ProcessingError: Peer sent update_fee with a feerate (62500) which may over-expose us to dust-in-flight on our counterparty's transactions (totaling 69348000 msat)

Wonderful.

Good morning everyone.

Flock of birds flying over the small wood at #sunrise.

Cold this morning, feels like the end of summer.

When #twitter / #X people say that an #npub is unpronounceable.

LOL 😂

I use this pre-built image of the nostr-rs-relay and followed the instructions. https://hub.docker.com/r/scsibug/nostr-rs-relay

I use Portainer as Docker Manager (linux,), which makes it easier to set up an administer docker container than purely via terminal. Portainer is free for personal use and has a easy installation too (this one via terminal).

Docker needs to be installed first (obviously). The instructions are on docker website. Just search for "install docker on ubuntu" as an example.

Docker is a virtualisation agent, so you won't install stuff on the host and cant screw it up 😊

Thanks dude, I'll give it a try.

Signed up for https://nostr.wine/ this evening.

Site is working for me.

Here is a mirror.

I've never played with Docker , if you have a good beginner walk-through for Docker I'd appreciate it.

Getting all your notes is pretty straightforward task and can be done with variety of tools. From https://nostrsync.live/ to nostr:nprofile1qqsd4dkxqewy8xum47ctpu0ltgxxsfemeewpjkdyzk9ddfcg286s0dspr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucmewp5x2unsw4hxktn5dajxz7gppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnzd96xxmmfdejhytnnda3kjctv9uhvzusl's Nostr Backup Script https://github.com/jooray/nostr-scripts

What is not trivial is preserving the whole context of your notes and your timeline. How would you do that? To do it for me I'm thinking of following steps:

1. Backup my notes.

2. Backup all notes where my npub is mentioned in the p tag.

3. Repeat previous two steps for all npubs I'm following.

4. Backup all t tags I'm following.

5. Parse all npubs from all the backups and get their kind 0 notes.

Can this be simplified? Is this enough for seamless offline experience?

It would be nice if this 'backup' happened in realtime , to a local relay , then it would also become a fast cache for your feed too.

Something I've also been thinking about recently.
