It’s odd because I didn’t use social media for like a decade until I found Bitcoin, and it was the only I got on Twitter.
I just wanted to learn and didn’t know shit about any of it, up or downstream. So not much to say in general. Picked up some concepts enough to reply guy here and there—got pretty good at talking shit to people about BTC energy FUD.
But at no point did I think anyone wanted to hear about microphones….So here I am new to Nostr and about in the same boat. Just point me to all the people who would rather talk PAs than sound money!

Fish in water being told a secret about life on land…most aren’t brave enough to jump out of what they don’t know they are in…As for me (class of 2020) i literally never heard anyone I know talking about it and had no experience in finance or anything that would lead me to ponder it…until one day I stumbled onto the conversation. And to this day I know precisely 2 Bitcoiners personally (one of which is a shitcoiner as well).
I think it’s a combination of the horse to water dilemma combined with the 105% certainty of the fervent proponents. Unless we are very thoughtful about meeting people where they are my experience is they tune out. Plus the backdrop of “everything we don’t know about money combined with cryptography/x/z”, and the salt of watching it for this long and not doing the work.
