Q. 29. How are we made partakers of the redemption purchased by Christ?

A. We are made partakers of the redemption purchased by Christ, by the effectual application of it to us by his Holy Spirit.

John 1:11-12; Titus 3:5-6.

This place (the Earth) is cursed because of Adam's sin. Praise God, Jesus, who is the second Adam, has come to reclaim and make new.

Through Christ's direction, Christians are to pursue the original dominion mandate of subduing the whole earth.

That means finding ways to eliminate the poisons. No one said it would be easy, or that it would be completed in our lifetimes. Indeed, it may yet take thousands of generations to complete.

Christian, you are here, now, for such a time as this. Go serve your King!

I know who he is. I've listened to some of his and Dvorak's podcasts, and I'm old enough to remember watching his MTV shows. He lives roughly 40 miles away.

I will never understand how anyone can believe that posting signs like these keeps "bad guys" away.

A criminal is, by definition, one who commits crimes. I.e., breaks the law.

Why do people believe that a criminal, intent on committing a crime, will see this sign at the entrance to a store and think, "Well crap. There goes that idea."

Really, they just think it's a magic talisman to ward off evil.

Today in History

On May 14, 1836, the interim president of the newly liberated Republic of Texas, David Burnet, signed two treaties in the town of Velasco with Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna. One of the treaties was made public immediately, while the second was kept secret until the public treaty's terms were fulfilled.

My quads finally "reawakened" yesterday and I am now able to lift my leg off the bed to nearly vertical.

Praise God for modern surgical medicine!
