Are we all just a bit fucking tired of "I am not a robot" yet - it just gets more and more irritating. What the fuck is a fire hydrant anyway... I'm not a yank. Not only am I well and truly sick of trying to pick details out of fuzzed bad photos of things, I'm sick of identifying American street furniture. I hate that website I have no option but to use force me through this little dance every bloody login... just implement some normal bloody 2FA perhaps.
Right, I consider this a new superpower unlocked! π
Still having a little trouble needing to babysit the first layer - but I can #3dprint my own gaskets/washers/etc now.
The material is harder than a silcone gasket, maybe slightly harder than neoprene too, but should work for many situations.
Will be interesting to see if I can build that up to more "3d" objects too. This TPU material feels like it could have a lot of uses.
#3dprinting

I ought to make chapati more often.
Anyway, amongst yesterday's procrastination side quests I fit some new lighting in the conservatory. Two of the lights are small LED floodlights to point down at a work surface. but they throw out far too much glare.
π€
Hmm... wait, but I possess the #3DPrinting superpower (if admittedly in small amateur amounts).
Examine the light unit, take some measurements...

... and home from a mammoth session of warehouse sorting. That mainly being stacking large bits of metal on top of other large bits of metal to prepare for a mezzanine to go on the back of a flatbed tomorrow. Urgh. Bushed. But it's my own darned fault... if I'd got my psychological shit together yesterday I'd have not been working until 23.30 on that shit tonight. We reap what we sow.
Stability bores me π€ͺ
I get antsy, burn it all down, and move on.
nostr:npub1zakvc2lt3n0hxchfywutz5hc68vlzg7klweccmhfutry7ju4vzcsnfd6uu I am as one with the bitterness.
Probably you wouldn't notice it in a gumbo as it's generally only in the starting mirepox (green caps, onion, celery) so very much broken down into the gumbo. Black bean stir fries in my mind (due to it being the style of it I grew up with) need nice chunks of the stuff still with a bit of crunch in them.
Latest advertising weirdness on Twitter is timeline ads for BBC News, BBC iPlayer, and "NHS Healthy Start". Are these orgs really paying for Twitter ads?
Block, block, and block.
It is my futile game on that site. (I rarely look at the timeline there at all any more. Just occasionally end up on it with the business account.)
There are three twilight side of middle aged blokes hanging around a ping pong table in Christ's Pieces (Cambridge) with a boom-box playing EDM you can hear across the park.
Odd. π€·π»ββοΈ
It's like the world's smallest saddest illegal rave is happening.
Doesn't bother me, mainly bemused. Livin' their best lives?
So the conservatory inside is now tidy and reconfigured as a #gardening support space. It's always been a bit of a #growing space anyway. All the home gardening stuff is in here now.

And DONE! Bonus unlocked. *gulp*

nostr:npub1tkgrdfqkugxgk78ykj7d7tuez9ndwn3lsc2arqqqvx3xu3f8sdusxr2eul and, sadly, TBH Labour are so utterly conservative status-quo that they will never be any better.
It's a minefield out there.
B2B business is dangerous territory.
In future I'll stick to retail and stay away from industries that necessitate offering credit terms. Lesson learned! (The hard way.)
This all instigated by a couple of the last remaining folks owing me money continuing to be difficult and one of them very much looking like this sort of scam now.
I don't know about other industries, but it's pretty rife in the beer & hospitality sector.
Unfortunately it's rarely evident until it's too late.
And the UK Limited Company system pretty much endorses this behaviour by its very structure - i.e. there's generally no repercussions for the folks running a scam like that. There is no authority that is interested in this sort of fraud.
One thing running my own business has taught me is that this is a not-uncommon English business model:
1. start a limited company
2. buy and sell goods
3. pay yourself a big wage
4. only pay selected suppliers for core supply to keep you going
5. withhold funds from many other, usually smaller, suppliers who're reluctant to take action for Β£2k of bills
6. eventually get forced into administration, wipe out all debt, walk away with a fat personal bank balance
Yes, people are arseholes.
Status: 10 hours into the smoke
The last 10C is always the worst to wait for... c'mon Mr Porky... c'mon!
I may do a swifty "cheat" foil wrap soon.

nostr:npub1dugpgfap4alul20lyn2vglwud8tss4ytd008l7v0pnm8w97lvnlqfzmkax sliced off the damage and it went into a quiche I made tonight!
We'll be drowning in Black Cherry tomatoes soon too. We have two plants laden with trusses like these in the #allotment polytunnel and another well laden plant in the bogalow #greenhouse.

*BOOM*
First #allotment tomatoes!!

nostr:npub1tkgrdfqkugxgk78ykj7d7tuez9ndwn3lsc2arqqqvx3xu3f8sdusxr2eul soooo many beans right now.
And when the current glut is waning, I'll have the allotment beans starting to produce I expect.
Think I need to order more pickling jars.
It'll be over soon. The 7 day working weeks... just got to keep on plugging at it without exploding until it is.
