I just heard the scariest story in a while. Someone told me that they had been traveling in China and, on the way out, the border police pulled up a tool that showed countless photos of this person taken by public surveillance cameras during their visit.

These are CCTV cameras in public. Faces classified with AI. All data gathered in a central location. Don't even think for a second this is never going to happen where you live.

That's a level of dystopia I didn't know we were already in.

Freedom must be distinguished from Democracy.

Democracy is inherently unfair and anti freedom. Why should i obey a ruler who I didn't vote for? Why should I suffer the consequences of other people's decisions?

Democracy has nothing to do with freedom, it's just a numbers game. Evil woke socialist rulers will always get more votes because dumbfucks with lower IQs outnumber the smarter individuals who see through their deception.

A truly fair system would be: allow me to choose my own ruler and only abide by the laws and fruits of that specific ruler. I would then bear the consequences of my choice, just as you would bear the consequences of yours. But even that is still not truly freedom.

Encountered this lakeside on a particularly foggy morning.
