Nostr and Bitcoin were always needed, oppressors are just pushing harder now that compliance is rising and they perceive success, there will be a tipping point in the future where this mass compliance to oppress will switch to mass freedom, we will essentially free ourselves in&from the process.
I think that’s accurate, most people want things as easy as possible, if it becomes even a little complicated, need to learn more than what they want, they loose interest, attention span has reduced dramatically the last decade, plus most people don’t even know the difference between a protocol and platform, and don’t even care for the reasons above.
