So the Apple II was still in the library when I was in elementary school. My first ISP was Prodigy. Tech classes weren't a thing until I was in high school. Everything I know I had to learn independently from the school system. Schools don't teach you to change tires, but Gen Z doesn't even seem to want to drive. I dunno, man. I blame "feel good" parenting, in all honesty. Zero pressure to achieve anything.
It's wild to me that I'm 40 and there are twenty year olds who know less about computers and technology than I do. What a waste of progress. The fact that it's the majority, too... There goes our hopes of a science fiction future.

Doubtful. Android has alternative stores. You can sideload apps on Android. AOSP guarantees that there are even alternative installations of Android available to install. Apple is a walled garden and that's the reason I've never used an iPhone as my daily driver. Hard pass. I don't need an authoritarian CEO telling me how I can use my device.

Tomorrow is finally fucking Friday. I can’t wait. We’re going camping and tubing down a river this weekend, plus it’s a three day weekend, and I think it’s going to be a good time. The last time we did this trip we all tripped balls on the river while doing shots of moonshine and smoking joints one after the other. It was a great time. Hoping to recapture that magic this weekend.
