BBC 6M news bulletins continue to sound like straight IDF press releases. No indication of civilian casualties in Lebanon when it's clear to anyone with half a brain that the IDF isn't so much "targeting" Hezbollah "strongholds" but (just as in #Gaza) apartment blocks full of defenceless civilians.

Public service broadcasting folks - you can't beat it.

This reminds me of first hearing The Proclaimers' "Throw the 'R' Away" in London, one Saturday in 1987. I'd already spent two years in England frequently being reminded of my Scottish accent and (inevitably) Hadrian's Wall.

I struggle to remember any other song that has had such a profound impact on me. It was a rallying cry, and I was determined never to lose my accent. It had a profound impact on me and my sense of identity.

I refuse to accept this complacent lazy ignorant Anglo-centric pro-Tory garbage, which relates exclusively to the NHS in *England*.

It's completely irrelevant in Scotland.
