I can get a revolver in 10mm if I wanted to.

The issue is capacity. 12-15 rounds of 10mm is a fairly potent payload for a handgun. I much prefer 10mm to 45.

If we are talking revolvers, I'd be tempted to carry a 44mag and pair that with a lever action in the same caliber.

There are 8 round .357 Mag revolvers.

There's no good compact carry 10mm pistols, though. The shorty lock 10mm is probably not fun to shoot.

You could go with an old-school S&W revolver. They come in some nice calibers and some good compact frames. But, if you're that committed to the 10mm... sorry 😂🤷‍♂️.

I know that my very small EDC pistol even with good ammo is NOT effective enough, which is why I carry a spare mag and have no issues firing until the threat is ended, even if I need to reload.

I am slowly figuring out what I want to carry in a chest rig if I'm in bear territory (while hiking), and I am leaning towards 10mm for capacity and ease of reloading. I love how versatile 10mm can be, too. Pud loads to skull crackers.

I meant my previous statement to be more of a possibility than a certainty. And I'm right on board with you on that one, mate! I'm rather hopeful that we won't reach that point as well. That doesn't mean they won't try, though. To be frank, I believe that layer 2 solutions are doing an excellent job of proving that we no longer need them anyway, if we ever did. And they're only progressing.

Let's not forget that all of the government's nasty shit is extremely palpable at this point. No one can deny it.

fwiw, I'm not in school, and plan to become a parent someday soon.

If I get to know my child faces emotional abuse on a daily basis, I wouldn't expect or want him to ignore it if it is affecting his health and ask the school authorities to ensure a safe environment for people there for education.

Same goes for public spaces. Creating a safe environment for each individual is a necessary building block for a society, which includes emotional safety which we all know by first hand experience can be disturbed by someone verbally insulting us for no good reason.

Individuals do owe each other to be nice to each other unless they are trespassing their private property, because that's the only place they can create their own rules.

If I was in your position, I would just ignore everyone who bothers you and focus on your bloody schoolwork.
