I was just looking into #music distribution service providers earlier today. Many of us small artists cannot expect any big revenue from the streaming platforms. We just want to share our music and be able to have people listen to it. I really hope nostr:npub1stemstrls4f5plqeqkeq43gtjhtycuqd9w25v5r5z5ygaq2n2sjsd6mul5 might be the light on the horizon for a change in the way music is consumed, distributed and monetized!
Thanks for the zaps. I funded my account with some other sats from nostr:npub17k8u7c6kfjgtd380890zx0m4adu8vl53m9fvtc7lal4j9gp74xqqkguha4 and I'm going to give it a try! Uploading music right now:

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s, is there a SFW-mode for #damus? I noticed that search/space has quite a lot of #nsfw content, which might be inappropriate in some places when scrolling through nostr. Would be great to toggle sfw/nsfw on and off.
Hey friend, do all of those things that you want to do! I am sure that people will show their interest in it and appreciate it. I am on a creative journey myself and have been struggling with the concept that I have to decide for one topic or one direction. But I found out that I like to do a lot of different things and that’s the way it ought to be. I find Barbara Sher’s #book “Refuse to choose” incredibly helpful on this journey.
Check out:
- Webpage html Export (https://github.com/KosmosisDire/obsidian-webpage-export)
- obsidian enhancing export plugin (https://github.com/mokeyish/obsidian-enhancing-export)
The latter one is based on pandoc hence you can also export pdf, word, epub etc.
Which markdown editor do you use? Obsidian might be something to look into, afaik it has html export or at least plugins that do it. The ability to link notes with each other and create a personal wiki is the best feature though.
Is there already an #alternative to Spotify on #nostr? Most artist are probably way better off financially with zaps than with Spotify’s pay per stream model.
Meaning directly on nostr or linking externally to e.g. YouTube?
Interesting, thanks for mentioning SimpleX
This is the #podcast that I co-host: Designfehler der Gegenwart / Design Flaws of the Modern World (https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/designfehler-gegenwart)
We are doing a critical analysis on aspects of our daily life that we consider #DesignFlaws. We try to figure out possible #alternatives by analyzing the flaws thoroughly, having a look at the scientific status quo and looking into #history and how people have dealt with it before. I would appreciate it if you would give it a try. Unfortunately, our podcast is in #german, but people from 🇩🇪🇨🇭🇦🇹 might give it a try!
I will introduce our episodes to you individually, so stay tuned.
And if anyone has a handy #guide on how to start a #value4value podcast that would be very much appreciated as well!
Over the last 6 weeks I took a seminar to figure out my #heartsdesire. I wrote over 90 wishes and ideas for my #life on cards only to sort all of them out one by one, saying goodbye to each one of them in a small #ceremony.
Last week I was left with the final one “becoming a creator”. However, when I was asked to come up with a catch phrase or kind of a #mantra , nothing really felt right. Yes, I want to do my stuff and show it to the world, I want to inspire others to consume less and do more by themselves and I want to create a community. But somehow this did not feel like my motto.
And when the trainer asked me what is wrong with it, I told her: I am already doing a lot of things, that is not the issue. The issue is that I stay in my quiet chamber and I am afraid of showing my creations, I am afraid of being judged and I have always had stage fright.
Thereupon, she said that my motto should be: “I leave my quiet chamber and step on the stage courageously”. Somehow this resonated with me instantly.
So this is it, me walking on the #stage step by step, taking all the courage I have and start sharing the things I do.
