Thermal printer for the win. Love being able to print on demand without worrying about ink. Sure, limitation on colors but for starting off this works very well 🤞🏼

Thermal receipts are covered in endocrine disruptors, nitrile gloves can protect you. Not a big deal if you are just handling a receipt or two from the store, but if you are labeling often you might want the gloves.
