relays and apps were ever free to censor, that is part of the design. censoring is a good thing if it is done in a decentralized way, free speech doesn't mean you're forced to see whatever trash other people are posting.

I am impressed with the quality of https://notes.blockcore.net/

I had an account on toot.cafe made years before that I wasn't using at all. when bitcoiners started migrating to bitcoinhackers.org I decided to use my toot.cafe account to interact with them. soon the toot.cafe admin was threatening to ban me.

I disagree, just requiring authentication for kind-4 fixes this with much more simplicity and without breaking the game theory.

is it possible to organize all (or most? filtered by some criteria?) nostr profiles in a giant graph of follow relationships and whenever you saw someone a client could show: "this person is followed by carol who is followed by bob who is followed by alice who is followed by you"

how much can such a thing scale?

orkut had this and it was cool.

https://searchman.space// looks good, although maybe not very useful?

I was thinking of how could a nostr profile search website could be useful:

- allowing username search is good, but not enough, too much noise.

- searching by content is good too, but then it becomes too expensive and troublesome to run.

- then I thought that one could search by followers and followed, i.e. "followed_by:fiatjaf melvin" would likely find the correct melvin, not any impostor.

that could take pubkeys instead of just names too for more strictness.

or even do 2-level searches for followers of followers.

maybe it won't be useful though. too nerdy.

maybe other qualifiers such as an estimate of the number of posts and other attributes could be shown to inform the viewer better

can we get pubkeys that are already being used and throw them in a FROST? would it be known to the public that these preexisting keys are part of the FROST?

actually it is doable with tangem cards apparently.

doable, but not with current hardware.

no, because they are all shitcoins or worse. ENS, for example, has a governing body that is no different than ICANN. same for farcaster's name registry. give me anyprevout and I'll make a new, simple name registry.

this post was just trying to trick the bitcoin maxis into agreeing with me by repeating their sacred phrases. it didn't work.

writing "gm" instead of "good morning" is fiat mentality

you're literally doing the same thing I am doing

see? this is the kind of retard that is just being completely counterproductive.

when I have a relay I will ban these types summarily.
