A pruned node depends on non-pruned nodes to download the entire chain, but if there are 100 non-pruned nodes and millions of pruned nodes, this is a very secure network.
The 100 non-pruned nodes cannot really do anything malicious, because if they delete blocks or try to double spend, the pruned node’s UTXO database prevents that.

the pruned nodes utxo database also depends on the blocks and thus on their full availability. And thus on full non pruned nodes.
No. explain here on nostr. Promises given here should also be explained and addressed here.
It doesn't have the blocks stored right? And how does it check if it has the RIGHT utxo sets? I don't understand it... If you remove 90% of the whole blockchain, you are missing probably crucial data.
The #bitcoin block reward's ultimate purpose is not for revenue. It is to bring new bitcoin till fixed supply is reached after which it stops.
transaction #fees are the real income, meant for the #miners. Satoshi had set a block size limit of 1 mb, because he didn't saw rising fees as a problem. He saw it probably as a the traject in which the miner income transitions from:
-
the unfit, unadjustable, short term means to distribute the limited supply of bitcoin, AKA blockreward,
-->
adjustable, appropriatly tuned, user input based, feemarket.
this traject is over when the last bitcoins are mined, it just happens. but smaller blocksize, is really important. We should and have to reduce the blocksize back to 1 mb.
-
also important to note, higher fees is inconvenient, but it is a necessity. You can't expect the immense security of bitcoin to be for free. You have to pay for it.
What if you could start an international business for $40, and the cost of running that business was $9.95 a month...and you could get paid unlimited commissions just for sharing the membership with others?👀
Well, if this sounds interesting to you and you are up for making some extra money from your phone...

A solution would be to minimize the cost of running a bitcoin node. Something which is needed none the less. Some change that turns the blockchain into a rolling band.
People in el salvador, africa and etc are in the biggest need of full nodes, but they have least amount of money.
bitcoin meetups should also focus a little more on #FOSS (hardware) and #linux (or bsd).
This way, bitcoiners can also learn new stuff and options and solutions to better the world.
Would some #bitcoin companies in #liberland be empowering for them? please shift more attention to them. Also, gun legislation could further gain support from fellow americans too.
Hello, just checking this out. Interesting! Altough I do wonder if the blockchain isn't being used too much?
Yes, it is a really transbarant way for governments to keep track of things, but it is not needed for some of its current usecases if I am right?
for example, making sure that the government (in this case liberlands) doesn't delete their posts, a simple proof verification system where the government holds a set of keys and anyone can step up and provide data that is signed by the government to proof that they have deleted that data fullfills the purpose too right? that is a way easier method to maintain the database in my opinion, while still utilizing proofof signatures.
Cant wrap my head around what he means with a limit on key generation. How is that supposed to work.
also, spam and sybil attacks arent a problem if we just use client side pattern selecting rules to batch filter stuff and there probably are more ways to boost interesting content.
I have to reinstall the app to be able to post again.
#amethyst cannot get rid of account information when signing out. The message says it does,
but I cannot sign in with my #nostr nsec after I logged in with my pubkey. Amethyst says that I am logged in using a pubkey, because it somehow doesnt delete the account data after signing out.
This is really strange.
try to be as efficient as possible.
I never heard proper detailed explanation how the pyramids could affect you. But I am wondering it too. For example that in ukraine there is an pyramid covered with nature looking like a hill with 4 sides bigger than the natural hills surreonding it.
