They are actually already linked. I follow and comment on content from Mastodon already from Nostr.

Right now I actually prefer Mastodon over Nostr. Simply because of the size of the community and the content. I believe eventually Nostr, the Fediverse and AT protocol will all easily federate so they will all share the content.

I like the idea behind Nostr's account ownership and not relying on a single server to distribute my content.
