Search for Edicted's posts on Hive if you really want to know.
And even today we're struggling to come up with an open way to share links to podcasts which are listening app agnostic.
That's on the consumption side and took more than a decade.
Listen to Todd Cochrane from Blubrry. He gave that mouse example in the last few weeks.
I believe it will get more accessible when it gets captured by entities with big bucks who run the best relays and havest data in return.
You're having a laugh. Podcast hosting companies I know still explain what the right mouse button does on support calls.
Vanishingly few people will every understand or pick relays. The defaults will rule and those will tend to be centralised, large, censorious and data mining.
Convince me where I'm wrong.
I just changed my Lightning Address on #nostr to be
brianoflondon@hbd.v4v.app
That will automatically convert sats to Hive Backed Dollars HBD. So I have a stable coin Lightning Address.
I can also send HBD back out to Lightning via https://v4v.app
I left my NIP-05 address as brianoflondon@v4v.app but I could change that as well... thinking about it.
This is precisely the problem we're solving with Hive: a truly decentralised repository of any information (though heavily optimised for text) which is permissionless and decentralised.
I use all sorts of systems, how on earth would I know about them if I didn't?
I sure as shit wouldn't run my mouth off about stuff I hadn't at least written a few lines of code for.
Right now I provided anyone on Hive an easy way to get a NIP-05 address by putting their Nostr npub in their Hive profile.
I facilitate dozens of Lightning <> Hive transactions per day (hundreds if someone listens to one of the 7000 podcasts I provide Lightning services for.
I'm looking at NIP-57 but I can't get the main python library to work with 3.11 and it's taking too much of my time, I'll wait for someone to fix python-nostr.
And this is why Nostr is EITHER censorship resistant or scalable.
Eventually the failure to build compensation for infrastructure provision into the protocol dooms it to the Web 2.0 fate (at best) of capture by data rapists.
At worst it just exists as a Bitcoin bros hangout.
The time when Andrew said "slimeball ambulance chaser" in a courtroom of lawyers.
Anyone using Tor? Be careful out there.
Dear users,
We would like to bring to your attention a malicious Tor proxy website that is targeting our community. The website, onion.autos, which allows viewing onion sites over the clearnet, has been observed re-writing Monero deposit addresses on our payment site and redirecting users to malware and other suspicious websites.
We would like to remind all users to only access Tor through the official Tor Browser. Using third-party Tor proxies can expose users to significant risks, including the possibility of having their sensitive information compromised.
If you have recently accessed onion.autos or conducted any transactions through this site, we recommend that you immediately verify your transaction history and ensure that the correct deposit address was used.
We take this matter seriously and are actively monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and security of our community.
Thank you for your attention and stay safe.
Sincerely, Your Privex Team

If you use Damus and your phone battery isn't lasting as long as it used to, there is a reason.
There was *ZERO* representation of crypto ads during the Super Bowl this year -a stark contrast from the year before.
Even the crypto companies themselves acknowledge they have no business advertising.
People have personally lost billions upon billions of dollars of their life savings and investments in less than a year with crypto companies .

Facebook declared every company or product dealing with Bitcoin even including ASIC mining equipment and hardware wallets to be "frequently associated with misleading and deceptive practices" in their terms and conditions banning advertising in Jan 2018.
Google and Twitter followed on.
That same month Facebook started its now failed Libra project in secret.
You think that's fine and not an abuse of monopoly power in online advertising?
I don't.
What's your hard on for defending a (former?) monopolist from a question?
Btw my friend is the lead plaintiff not me. I'm a class member and I've worked on the filings with him.
Jack isn't personally liable, unfortunately Elon bought the liability.
Jack banned any bitcoin company from advertising within weeks he did promote BTC purchase via his own app. You think he needs your protection from a question?
