For me, in my home... I guess I would say I'm less interested in protecting possessions. I have insurance... However if they come up the stairs where the bedrooms are, they will either be dead, or wish they were. This is about my family's safety. Never show up to war with the smallest force possible. You always overwhelm, and you make sure whatever way their body leaves... they are too maimed or too dead to ever do it again. Preferably the latter to reduce the possibility of a lawsuit. I would hate to ever have to do it...however the lives of my girls are more important than theirs. The line is "they kept coming, I told them to stop 3 times, and they kept coming, so I shot, and they kept coming, so I kept shooting".
Regardless, if someone is willing to do you or your family harm, the most humane thing to do is make sure they can't ever do it to anyone else again. Nonlethal measures can't do that, nor can they stop someone with certainty. The police can't prevent them from doing it again either.
Cool, but why are you using VMWare Workstation on linux? Perhaps there is a feature you need from workstation? Or perhaps you need to ship VMs to others that use VMware?
If its an option for you, Linux has builtin virtualization using libvirt/KVM without requiring out of tree kernel modules. You can take a look at Boxes. I still like virt-manager myself.

Well, I survived. They almost ordered a selloff of half the bitcoin. I managed to turn the conversation to her getting $20k another way... I have 21 days to give her $20k. If I don't, I have to give her half the bitcoin (at today's dollar price). So if bitcoin goes to 1m tomorrow, you bet she's getting half at today's price. Also she can't come back and ask for more in the case she gets a bitcoin payout.
I ran past dry-heaving this morning. Showered, shaved, and now I'm dressed for court.

Hopefully this hearing is smooth and the judge accepts the evidence of my defense and dismisses my wife's emergency motion because it is based all on emotion. She should get a fair deal, not a more than fair one. Hopefully this brings her to the table to negotiate that fair deal.

While I'm sipping coffee, I'm trying to choose what to wear to court tomorrow. I'm hoping for something that says "I work for my money". This to defend my #bitcoin and the rest of my assets. Its just family court, but kinda a big deal for me. I haven't dealt with courts much at all. FYI if you never get married... you can never get sued for everything you own in divorce.

I think I finally got it. It clicked this morning when i woke up. My share of the 21m remains unchanged!
1/21m is a static amount and represents solid ownership and value. But $1/♾️$ is not. It represents a value aproaching (but never quite reaching) 0.
The price of bitcoin didnt fall... The rest of the monetary system deflated around BTC.
