Just replaced the fans on this bad boy and using it to heat up the house since it's chilly in the UK.
Under-clocked it so it runs quieter at 56 decibels vs the usual 76 decibels when it run fast and hot.

There is a reason people will take advice from a shrink/internet random instead of a family member or friend.
I have no doubt that's what they would like to do. There are plenty of ways to eliminate tracking and location services on the ispyPhone to make it less creepy. Most are just too lazy to do it. Takes a good 1-2hrs to start chopping it down.
Your phone isn't listening to you without your consent; you're just too lazy to adjust your privacy settings.
Use a vpn. Turn on all your privacy settings and disable all the tracking settings. Eliminate everything google. Takes awhile to get through. My phone is so locked down it makes it hard to use some apps at times.
Trade off of privacy and convenience.
