Sometimes you get advice that sticks with you from the most unexpected places. One for me is:

"Don't ignore it, that's what everyone else is doing."

The background:

A little over 10 years ago when we were buying a house for our growing family, it was not uncommon that the real estate listings did not include pictures. My realtor had said not to ignore these listings because that's what every other buyer is doing. We saw a listing that did not have pictures, but its description matched what we wanted. So we told the realtor we wanted to see the house. We saw it and fell in love with it, made an offer, which was accepted, and we still happily call it home.

I've used this advice since when it has come to things like Bitcoin, automation, and more recently things like ChatGPT/OpenAI.

I agree, when things break down the collapse much faster than people expect. And that rings true now more than ever. You hit the nail on the head saying that many innocent people who were born into the system will be hurt. It is in fact very sad... hopefully you have been spreading the word about Bitcoin. We were all born into this system and its up to us to opt out. But it's always an uphill battle trying to sway people from "conventional wisdom" even if the evidence is staring at them straight in the face.

What about it scares you? Bitcoin was built for the scenario. Banks unraveling and the fiat system showing more cracks. Incompetent leadership steering the ship towards the shoals. But Bitcoin is safe harbour.

Earning sats while listening on Fountain podcasts hasn’t been working for the past week or so. I see the lightning bolt greyed out and when I click on it, it says I reached my quota of an hour of listening a day… which I haven’t 🥴

Management of a small bank told me this. Aside from targeting "crypto" beyond the scope of the law (Operation Chokepoint 2.0), he's also mad that responsible banks who wisely avoided long dated HTM securities are being punished by withdrawals as depositors flee to large banks for safety. They did everything right but only the big banks benefit from the moral hazard of these bailouts.
