Season 3 is much better than the first two. It's annoying that they keep trotting in every actor from the TNG-verse but the plot is solid and the music is excellent.
Unpopular opinion: zaps are incentivizing bad content on nostr. Endless humblebragging about mass zapping fractions of a cent to dozens of strangers is not good content.
In Canada it doesn't take much to be called a city. London is about half a million I think
There is a city called London in Canada too. East London is in South Africa.
Worf was listening to the same Berlioz opera that Picard had on after he learned of the death of his brother and nephew. Nice reference but it's a very dark piece, not exactly in-line with Worf's chamomile tea. Debussy would have been a better choice.
It's pretty funny that Picard's kid seems to have inherited his French father's English accent despite being raised exclusively by his American mother.
By the end of E02 I am starting to see Picard come through. I hope this transformation continues. Happy to see that Captain Asshole is apparently with us for the duration. Looking forward to more old man Worf.
This series feels a bit like a Rolling Stones reunion tour.
The closing title sequence is amazing. These close-up detail shots of the LCARS interface is something I have wanted to see for 30 years.
Still, this season is looking good compared to the first two. The asshole captain is a great character.
Picard was so uptight. He almost never smiled and he made everyone around him anxious to meet his high standard. Stewart otoh is like a cozy old gay grandpa.
What bugs me about this show is that I feel like I'm watching Patrick Stewart much more than Jean-Luc Picard.
Can we do tweetstorms on nostr?
Nostrorms.
It's a lovely warm summer evening so I am finally watching Picard S03

Nostr so far:
- I miss twitter circa 2015
- not eager to set up a custodial lightning wallet
- managed to post my private key in the search box so this account is toast
- somehow I followed myself
- innovation in this space is encouraging but I don't see anything resembling a killer app yet (have not tried damus, android only here)
- Elon Musk is a twat
- can't figure out who I want to be on nostr
