The funniest thing about the Treasury budget chart, is that despite every other item being shown in correct proportion, the deficit portion is reduced in scale.

$1.1 trillion deficit over six months.

What percentage of the debt tied to that interest will have to be refinanced at higher rates in the next year? 🤔

Also mislabeled as $1.01 billion instead if trillion

1,000 billion = 1 trillion

Oops. Thought the comma was a period

What’s a few orders of magnitude between friends?

A billion here...

There, I fixed it.

Also, excellent observation!

Great fix. But the square inches of bold green need to be presented relatively...

Borrow half of what you spend, this is fine 😐

Reminds me of a chart someone shared this week of U.S. military spending as a percentage of GDP over time. Debt to GDP ratio was not factored in

荒唐包含荒唐

Chart crime

🧐

Chart crime on top of chart crime. Chart crime all the way down

Where the fuk do they get off?

Fascinating, good catch!

How is corporate income tax so low. That boggles my mind.

The Government's masters are the corporations.

Tis But a Footnote

What about the interest on the $31.6T+debt?

It’s worse than that. The whole outlays scale is wrong. It should be ~1.5X receipts. They’ve shrunk it to make the deficit seem smaller

Can you fix it?

Sneaky graphics

Really enjoyed your podcast with Wealthion’s Adam Taggart.

Chart crime verified ✅

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Wow.. did this really come from the treasury? 🤦🏽‍♂️

If they didn’t lie it would look more like this

Ooh that's bad
