I’ve accepted my fate.
Either I go down in history as the fool who lost it all chasing Bitcoin.
Or I become the man who rewrote his bloodline forever.
There’s nothing in between.

“Open protocols win” - Jeff Booth
“Before Bitcoin, before paper money—there was gold. But convincing people it had value? Not so easy.”
One of the world’s largest and most complex financial conglomerates, Brookfield sold property to itself like this dozens of times in 2024, using $1.4bn from its insurance arm to finance transactions that supported its “distributable earnings” — a non-standard measure of profit that underpins the corporation’s $90bn stock market valuation.
These earnings were then recycled back into the portfolio in a circular flow of cash that is attracting scrutiny of both the relative opacity of Brookfield’s accounting practices and how it juggles its vast global portfolio of real estate.
“If you enjoyed the tyranny of the public health mavens and their craven political henchmen, the informing of your neighbours, and the continual moralizing panic of the COVID era — well, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”

“Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world.”

“We have become a nation of pants-shitting cowards, led by same. Until and unless we make the individual and collective decision to take care of ourselves, we are doomed.”

I had such high hopes that 100k would bring some decent reporting or at least an educated critic. Here is “expert” Carol Alexander - Professor of Finance at the University of Sussex and “successful predictor” of bitcoin price action having a go at it.
And yes you will never get these 3.5 minutes back in if you watch this. Time wasted.

IMO solo mining is the way to go with a bitaxe.
However it’s fun to mine on Ocean if only to experience the randomness and joy of sharing the small winnings of a block found. I think that randomness is a great teaching moment for people new to bitcoin.
As we move into this new area of increasing TH/s low cost micro miners things are going to get very interesting - both for solo mining and Ocean datum mining (where you build the block template).
A bitaxe is gonna find a block and people will be stunned.

Choose fun…
A dollar “bill” 💵 a zero duration, zero interest loan to the government.
And a Government bond (or bill 💵) is an issue of debt with a promise to pay back.
A promise.
Swap a dollar “bill” 💵 for a “stable coin” is simply swapping a zero duration, zero interest government bill for the SAME item - only in digital 💵 form.
There is no NGU in either case - just dilution risk.
Same

Happy to see you here. Keep bringing the signal! 👍
Type 1 at least has a grasp of the concept of “money printing”.
IMO Type 2 is more challenging to educate as politicians and financial illiterates happily feed their incorrect cause of general inflation.

Re: Grocery clerk.
Nice! First jobs define what you REALLY want to do…
Waiter ✅ (aka "Food Carrier")
Brick layer ✅ (aka "Brick Carrier")
Railroad Labourer ✅ (aka "Heavy Stuff Carrier")
All of that made post secondary education possible, desirable and REALLY focused my attention.
