Almost missed my connection to the Microstraregy summit to talk about what is coming in the #Bitcoin ecosystem because the border agent recognized me from my recent podcast with #[1]​ and wanted to talk about how much he agreed with it. 😂

The funniest thing about the Treasury budget chart, is that despite every other item being shown in correct proportion, the deficit portion is reduced in scale.

$1.1 trillion deficit over six months.

Every jurisdiction you cross is another opportunity for your tv remote suppository to be found and confiscated - you can cross as many jurisdictions as needed until reaching safety with words in your head, not with gold up your arse.

Gold, gold miners in hyperinflation would be confiscated immediately. Should we still own gold? If there is no internet for a short time, small amount of physical gold is easier to hide and can be useful in some cases.

Spoiler alert: in the story, New York became a nightmare: no water, no foods, the internet in the story suffered major outages, people turned into thefts, crimes, prostitudes just to survive. Bitcoin cannot fix this, so getting out of big cities the sooner the better.

Moving to a farm maybe the best solution in the short term. I thought about it too and planning to buy a small farm. But the story, eventually the farms got nationalized because of high food prices 🥲

Been joining a lot of Ordinals discussions on Twitter Spaces the last week with NFT people to try to connect with that community.

Hearing a lot of nonsense from them re: Bitcoin pre-ordinals.

Crypto people *actually* think there’s only ~600 devs working on Bitcoin projects.

They actually believe that Bitcoin had a “toxic community” until ordinals.

I tried explaining that they have all been sleeping on Bitcoin second & third layer development, sidechain development, global bitcoin adoption as well as bitcoin-adjacent projects like Nostr, Holepunch, Hypercore etc.

These folks now believe they are bringing culture, fun and diversity to Bitcoin.

What is this psychological phenomenon called?

They think bitcoin had a security budget problem, and because of them, bitcoin security is now fixed.

To their credit, the majority of them all seem to revere BTC and the Bitcoin blockchain.

Lots of this behavior, although they don’t “attack” bitcoiners (except Udi who always does) they do mostly keep it positive.

This wasn't on my 2023 bingo card, but I'll take it. Time to teach Peterson some lightning, self custody, and perhaps plant a seed regarding Nostr given his many forays with censorship.

When I look at pictures of the great pyramids in Egypt all I can think about is the tremendous amount of slave labor that would have been required to build those things (the pyramids were originally covered in white *polished!* limestone so it would glimmer in the sunlight). More than half the population would have been slaves to these crazy rulers who thought they were gods on earth. What the world doesn’t realize today is that when 90%+ of the global population is in debt up to their eyeballs with no glimmer of hope to ever pay off their rolling and ever increasing debts, we are living in a very similar situation. One difference between then and now is at least the Egyptian knew they were slaves.
