Strike Sending API Documentation is now public ⚡️

Now anyone can use our infrastructure to make Lightning payments with US Dollars (just like people make Visa, ACH, SWIFT, etc. payments with US Dollars)

Customer doesn't have to own bitcoin to make a Lightning payment, no volatility concerns, no taxable events, no additional accounting requirements, no added legal/compliance burden. Strike handles it all. Just pay Lightning invoices with USD.

Hopeful to announce some banks and bigger financial institutions that are using Lightning as opposed to networks like SWIFT soon.

Good news. I've tried to pay a few invoices on Strike recently and fees were super high. $10 on a $500 invoice. I know there are likely several hops along the path, but can you state what Strike's LN nodes are charging?

It is taxable, but only for Strike. No tax for anyone sending dollars and no tax for anyone receiving dollars (other than taxes that would still apply without the lightning rails).

Strike has taxable events for the USD > BTC conversion when sending and the BTC > USD conversion when receiving.
