This is somewhat embarrassing to admit. I’m the kind of guy who can quote you Shakespeare all day but couldn’t write a line of code with a gun to my head. I’m woefully nontechnical.

It took me a long time to wrap my humanities brain around the tech of #bitcoin, and almost a half decade later I’m still learning everyday.

The tech of #nostr, candidly, is even more intimidating to me. But I’m also in awe of it and all the builders working on it.

I’m always thinking man, I wish I could contribute more, but I just don’t have the skills!

But then I realized, the biggest contribution I can make to Nostr is just to bring my whole, weird, uncensored self to it, to bring my life energy, my thoughts, and my passions to it. And if we all do that, whether we’re technical or not, this is gonna be a wondrously alive place.

The CME 30-Day Fed Funds futures prices are currently predicting a 56% chance of a 25 basis point (bps) rate cut at the Sept 18 FOMC meeting vs a 44% chance of a 50 bps rate cut.

In my mind, it's a coin flip (50/50).

Regardless, I don't think we are going to see a massive and prolonged series of rate decreases... primarily because we are not heading into a major #recession, as many doom and gloomers suggest.

This is ongoing #normalization after the unprecedented events of 2020-22, not a typical (or major) #recession.

2. Don’t settle down until you’re 35-40 and you’ve got it out of your system.

The group of successful guys I know with a lot of kids and a good marriage met their wife relatively young. Late teens - early twenties and then were married by 26/27 and had kids before they were 30.

The other group of guys I know who played the field and settled down late tend to have more drama / divorce less kids on average and generally seem less happy.
