I'm not thinking that's his intention as he has been very clear about elimination of bot activity from the beginning. Most BTC proponents have theorized BTC could solve this as it would make bot farm activity too costly. Elon unfortunately is just implementing the Fiat version. Will it contribute to what you say, a move towards authoritarianism? Absolutely.
Some of these post are huge like the nostr report and when opened they glitch while scrolling which maybe is a client issue that could be solved but wouldn't want my main feed to behave that way.
