A simple lunch for a simple man

Ate:

- 700 grams of fatty beef steaks

- 6 eggs

- 50 grams of butter

- Natural cocoa made with 20% cream

Late dinner before bed

To be honest, this beef cut (flank) seems like one of the coolest — I often like the color of this muscle, and it's also one of the cheapest.

It seems to be almost completely fat-free, so it's worth adding some butter, and it often has less water than other cuts.

It's one of the toughest cuts I've tried, so I’ll be experimenting with ways to make it more tender during cooking.

For dinner:

- 900 grams of beef

- 100 grams of halloumi

- 60 grams of butter

GOOD MORNING PEOPLE

do you see that your white group in upper right corner is dead ?

Since starting my meat journey, I've become more confident with it. With some additional equipment, I decided to dive deeper into the steak-making process and start making my OWN steaks.

I’ve never done this before, and here’s my first try:

I vacuum-packed this piece for “wet aging” and placed it in the refrigerator for a few days, let's see what happens next

For about six years, I’ve had kind of a hobby of watching and analyzing strategies and how predators survive. They’re the smallest group on Earth, even if we include all humans.

I remember the first time I looked up how much big cats like pumas or panthers (which weigh around 100–120 kg, like me) eat on average per day or week. I found out they typically eat around 3–5 kg of meat per day, sometimes more, sometimes less, it was shocked knowing they can eat 15% of they body in a single day (about 10-20kg)

At the time, I was surprised. It seemed unbearable and impossible for a human like me.

Now, I eat an average of 1.5–2kg of meat a day, and sometimes I catch myself thinking that even 2.5–3kg doesn’t seem like that much anymore, I also found there are people that could eat 5-15kg of meat a day, sensational

The omelette is the one in small grey plate)

It had to be like this

- 1 kg of meat (sous-vide style)
