Agree that spam is likely to be one of the bigger issues, at least for the big open global nostr. It'd be possible to have smaller whitelisted nostrs that'd be more like the old BBSes, and a user/client can attach to many at the same time so there's quite a lot of possibilities in different setups,/network configurations that users might try, have preference for.

We've been lucky so far with spam. I think how well relays deal with spam will be one way people choose between them. Not convinced this is intentional spam as it's too easy to stop...It'd be better if they changed the pubkey on each event - a relay would still be able to have ip based rules... though ip based rule might hit any mirroring that goes on as the mirroring service is likely to get banned.

still implementing the basic chat/channel functionality ... Probably they'll be an encrypted chat NIP before I get half decently done!

Looking good...

* It'd be nice if it was a option to switch profiles inside the app.

* http:// links that are highlighted cut off a line break which means if you click them the links don't work...

definitely handy as is though...Will try and give it a proper work out when I get chance

For twitter like kind 3 is good to mimic follows but yep I don't see why a client would always want to store contacts publicly like that.

There is a delete event but not sure which relays implement it, so results might be interesting. Possibly you end up with the event on some relays but not others. Also even relays that do remove would need to keep a record of the event id else it might end up being rebroadcast and turn up again..!

Cool maybe I'll give those a look. Zigzag worked for me before but I'm always expecting it not to because it doesn't look like its that active.

Anyone know what the security model of hosted lightning channels are? e.g those in android SBW.

Are you just trusting that the host want mess up and lose channel state or can they also take all the funds?
