The first versions of channels couldn't have their fees bumped. If you didn't set a fee high enough, your channel could get stuck for ages.

Anchor channels are a more complicated way to open channels. They create extra transactions that aren't multisig and can be bumped with a CPFP transaction.

So, if you fsck up and use to low a fee, you can fix it.

Big node that's had lots of anchor channels closed over a period of time. When you close an anchor channel, it creates a separate transaction that's above the dust limit that can be used to bump the fee for the channel closure.

A personal node my accrue a half dozen of them and won't cause any issues.

A large LSP like lnbig gets thousands of them so they need to be consolidated into a single large transaction so the Bitcoin can be more easily, and less fees, to open new channels.
