Used some the other week while I was camping. Melted some over the fire in a cast iron skillet. Then I cooked 2 pounds of bacon, left the grease in the skillet and cooked the steaks. Best steak I’ve had in a minute.
Every one came through ok. My parents and my mom’s sister are still without power but that’s it so far.
Several. Last one was in Missouri when I was in basic training. Went through a hurricane this morning. Not the center though. That was about 50 miles west of here.
We had a hurricane come through today. Hopefully the weather is better here tomorrow.
Looks like about 1/5 of the 5 mill and change people in the great state of South Cacklalacky are without electricity at present.
More than that now that I think about it. That’s just outages. Most outages are probably more than one person.
Looks like the part we were getting is mostly past us now. Winds are still high though.
That’s definitely the plan. As far as it goes the plant is one of the safer places to be in the county.
Well. The hurricane that was supposed to miss us is overhead now. Definitely staying at work even though we not starting, up for two hours.

Never had pumpkin spice anything. I could go for some roasted pumpkin seeds with salt though.
We shall see. Passed a couple of downed trees in the road on the way to work and we shouldn’t even be getting the hurricane itself. We gots to make tires though. Hurricane or no.

Even if it was a tool they created for their own use there’s no reason to not use it for our own purposes if it’s a good tool just because others use it for evil. People use guns for evil. Especially governments. I still own one for my own use. It’s a good tool to have.

The empire always comes home. In this case centuries of weeding out your fighting men before the meat grinder that was two world wars in service of maintaining said empire. Then people from former dominions moving into the heart of the former empire en masse. Hope it was all worth it.
It’s been so long since I’ve done either I couldn’t tell you. I need to run an experiment. I guess I need to find someone to snog. For science.
I remember leaving middle school early to go a Jimmy Buffett concert in that time period. Probably 2000 though. Good times.
That’s why giving power to the government over the corporations never really made sense to me. Fact is people that accumulate wealth are going to have more of a say and power over other people. With or without a government.
