Got woken up this morning earlier than I had hoped with a call from the next door neighbor where the #livestock are grazing. They had some unexpected visitors. Something must have spooked the livestock and they broke through the hotwire.
With the help of the neighbor and some alfalfa we were able to get them all rounded back up.

Time to re-up on the feed before pricing goes up. Got 2 tons of a general 16% non GMO, non soy feed we use for our birds, pigs, and sometimes cows. Along with 1/2 ton of scratch.

Mullein like everyone else has mentioned. AKA known as cowboy toilet paper.
Such a cheap and easy fix.
Finally took the 5 minutes to make my fence charger smart by adding a Shelly 1 relay to the system. Excuse the wiring mess but now I can disable my electric fence with my phone from the other side of the property or even when away from home.
I can use the #Shelly app or #HomeAssistant.
Such a simple thing that'll make a huge impact.
I'll eventually add a project box to keep things weather safe and also a manual switch so if the ranch sitter ever needs to disable the electric fence, they can.

Pax the #waterbuffalo calf is now about 4 months old. She is becoming just as sweet as her mom Perla. The way you can tell if they are happy is that they will curl their tail.

Now that warmer weather is here I acquired some azolla for the duck poop water system. This will be to grow some feed for the birds and maybe livestock.
They have a smaller tub in the upper part of the orchard.
This has a drain that flows down into a larger stock tank.
Now on the hunt for water hyacinth.
