So markers of poor health are (to a lesser degree?) also markers of being the sort of person that a psychiatrist would label mentally ill.

"Understand" by Ted Chiang is one of my favorite sci-fi-adjacent short stories. It's about an experimental drug causing uncontrolled exponential growth of human intelligence, told in the first person. One of the most mindblowing works of fiction I've ever read. There's a great reading of it on YouTube, well worth a listen if you have a spare 2 hours and you like this sort of thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxG2K3nTiJE #grownostr
Sounds like Flowers for Algernon.
If Coldcardâs firmware was derived from GPLed code, how did they re-license it with something GPL-incompatible?
I think I didn't see that, but I did see Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee. He probably did murder his neighbor, or at least had one of his bodyguards do it.
Hm. I think the recent unpleasantness could have been avoided if everyone had seen Vitorâs implementation before NIP-94 was accepted. Will would have objected, and there wouldnât have been consensus to merge the NIP.
Thank you for the correction. Still, isnât the order supposed to be implementation in two clients, then acceptance?
As an outsider to Nostr development, this is something Iâm puzzled by. According to the GitHub page, â[NIPs] should be implemented in at least two clients and one relay â when applicableâ before theyâre accepted. Yet it seems as though Vitor is the first to implement NIP-94?

Heâs having creative differences with #[4]â, the man in charge of Amethyst.
Okay, but letâs be clear that there is nothing wrong with a cat profile picture.
Okay, Zeus Olympus is coming too.

Breez is non-custodial and would allow you to send sats, but it wouldnât give you a lightning address to receive them. (Youâd have to generate an invoice or receive on-chain.) Theyâre testing a service called âBreez Cloudâ which apparently will allow users to run their own nodes on a cloud service.
I used to have Breez Mobile and a Bitcoli account, which gave me a non-custodial wallet for sending and a custodial wallet for receiving. Having to periodically transfer sats from Bitcoli to Breez was a hassle, though.

George Selgin is an economist known for his work on the theory and history of #money and #banking. Because he believes free banking has worked well in the past and would again if it were tried, he takes flak from status quo economists, Rothbardians, and #Bitcoin maximalists. But he has the best arguments.
Because parting with sats is a cost. That doesnât mean the sats they do part with wonât reward attention-seeking behavior.
Iâm using Firefox because it syncs my bookmarks, but thereâs nothing wrong with Safari. The Nostore extension works only with Safari.
I can see a millenarian fervor among Nostrâs Bitcoin enthusiasts.
Why do Slack and Microsoft Teams have likes?

I sometimes spend my nights thinking of fallen heroes on #IRA lines and struggling lads while listening. Dolores past away and left her inheritance with #Zombie. Do you remember The Cranberries? https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=8MuhFxaT7zo&feature=share
Wasnât Zombie written in protest of the Warrington bombings, and the Troubles more generally?
