This is something I could add for sure. Allow users to import multi-sig public descriptors. I’ll create an issue in GitHub. But I have the next little while planned so probably won’t be done for a while.
Can you tell me more about your use case and why would prefer using Cove in this way vs something like Nunchuk?
Multisig support is not planned, that and lightning support are explicitly things Cove will not support because we believe there are already great wallets for that (Nunchuk, Phoenix, Bull bitcoin etc..) and adding those features would complicate Cove and it would no longer be Simple.
It’s in the roadmap, but not until later. I’m prioritizing less advance features, main focus is currently getting good cloud back up going.
I usually use passphrases with hardware wallets. Haven’t ever used it with a hot wallet. Can you tell me more about your use case?
Awesome! Glad it’s working nicely
If you get a chance to leave a review on Apple that would be greatly appreciated.
I’d like Cove to show up in the App Store search when people search “Cove”. Right now you gotta search for “Cove Wallet”. Thanks!
I've been working on a proposal for a new way to do trustless, end-to-end encrypted backups of hot wallets for Cove using Passkeys.
I will work with nostr:nprofile1qqsrzx6fwc6c2em8lawpemazhrzusawwrp9wfpmd4yneaq5m5qwaz2gpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqpzfmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82cs8q67t3 to turn this initial proposal into a proper spec.
Please give it look and give us any feedback you have

UR is a terrible standard for QRs, it's actually terrible, needlessly complex and you always end up with more QRs than BBQr.
All hardware wallet manufacturers should switch to BBQr and please just let UR die.
With all that being said, UR support is coming to covewallet soon...

It’s a term used to mean a wallet that you use on a device that only has the public key. So you can view your transactions, but you can’t send bitcoin without a signer.
Traditionally phones didn’t have good integration with hardware wallets, so they really were “watch only”. But now that there’s hww and phone apps that work well together, the term doesn’t make as much sense. Because can create the send txn, on your phone, sign using hww and send from your phone.
Watch only wallet is a weird term, and really accurate anymore, do people new to bitcoin still learn that term?
Sounds good thank you! GitHub issue works. I think it might be some sort of edge case cause you’re the first to report on it. And I haven’t run into myself.
That sounds like a bug that shouldn’t happen, I haven’t run into it, are you on the version from the App Store? If so if you could try it again and DM me maybe we could figure it out. That would help me out a lot. Thanks for the feedback.
I’ve been working on the android version, but after that there will be more regular releases.
What are you missing most in it?
Yes it’s on the roadmap, gotta finish android app and some other stuff first so expect 3-6 months
The irony of the privacy advocate doxxing people…
I don’t have a start9 to test on, but I think they might lock it down to be only accessible via tor. And Cove doesn’t have tor support yet.
no one attacked mints, everyone’s just pointing out your hypocrisy
is it shitty when people make your money worse by using exploits?
Hey man, I was looking into OHTTP, seems super interesting, would love to figure out how to do this.
